OUR STORY

Hello! We are two parents, educators and nature lovers who believe in the power of dirt! We have seen in our own families, and in our classrooms, how well kids respond to learning when they are using all of their senses. Our love for children, nature and learning combines to create Little Seeds Workshop. We want to bring ecology and green learning to even the littlest learners, and found that this piece was lacking in the enrichment classes offered for young children. We invite you to join us, get your hands dirty, and come learn with your child!

Alyssa Althouse

Alyssa lives in the Bay Area with her two busy boys and her husband. She has over 20 years experience working with diverse groups of children in various capacities, including eight years teaching preschool, and over 4 years teaching elementary school in Palo Alto. Her passion for children and nature inspired her to start Little Seeds Workshop, where she can use her teaching skills to connect children with natural elements through art, gardening, and science.

Stacey has worked in play-based preschool and pre-Kindergarten classrooms for over 6 years. She is always amazed at how children respond to nature and natural elements, and how calming it can be for all kinds of little personalities. Stacey also has over 15 years of experience planning events, from corporate conferences to non-profit retreats. She lives in the Bay Area with her husband and two dirt-loving children, and loves finding new places to explore with her family.
